Release Emotional Baggage with
EFT... Emotional Freedom Technique!
Many years ago, as part of my ongoing research into well-being, I found a great stress release technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
I was shocked to read that this simple system could help with long-term health issues, and decided it was important enough for me to make an intense study of EFT.
Over the years, I have used it a lot, with great results. I have helped friends and family, and also included it as part of the health treatments that I was offering my local community in Bognor Regis West Sussex UK.
What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique is based on several theories of alternative medicine including acupressure, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), energy medicine, and thought field therapy (TFT).
It is probably best known through Gary Craig's EFT Handbook, that was published in the late 1990s, and related books and workshops by a variety of teachers.
EFT is sometimes called energy
Many healers and therapists claim that EFT can be used to treat a variety of physical and psychological disorders, and can even be used as a very effective self-help method.
It is generally characterized as pseudoscience and has not gathered significant support in clinical psychology.
But, many successful healers, therapists, motivational speakers, etc. use it themselves and teach it to help remove psychological barriers that can block your ability to believe that you can be free of underlying physical, emotional, and mental issues.
How Is EFT Performed?
During an Emotional Freedom Tecjnique session you focus on a specific issue while tapping on acupressure points of the meridians. Meridians are energy channels based on traditional chinese medicine.
You first rate the emotional intensity of your stress reaction to a particular issue between 0-10. Then you repeat an affirmation based on the issue
while tapping specific points on the body.
Science has yet to confirm or deny that EFT works.
In studies, it is unproven, but I wouldn't let that put you off. Unfortunately, in one way or another scientists work for the government, corporations, pharmaceutical industry and elite. It is not in their interest to perform independent research to find cures for anything.
Because, if you make yourself healthy, you wont need their very expensive drugs (with side-effects). It is in their interest to keep you spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically sick.
Cynical viewpoint... maybe, but realistic!
I have successfully used EFT many times to reduce and remove issues.
One recent experience was to work with a common issue I had with the fear of public speaking. I had to make an important father-of-the-bride speech at my daughter Natasha's wedding in 2015.
Research suggests that the fear of
public speaking is even greater than the fear of death. Yes, it is understandable that we all fear death to some degree or another. After all, it isn't something we can avoid.
Public speaking, on the other hand, is something that many people go out of their way to avoid. The fears around this are many, including... what will people think of me, public failure, embarrassment, tongue-tied, sweating, panic attacks, letting people down, forgetting what to say, blushing etc.
It was important to me, so I decided to use EFT for several weeks leading up to my speech, to release my individual fears, and develop confidence in my ability to perform successfully.
When it came to my speech, I stood up, felt relaxed and confident, and delivered it as well as I had in my practise sessions. The audience were listening, laughing in all the right places, and it went very well.
In fact, better than I could have hoped for :)
I also had lots
of positive feedback, even from the event organisers who witness dozens of speeches each year.
EFT helped me immensely... it is easy to learn, and only takes a few minutes to perform.

Let Go of Limiting Beliefs With EFT
To make permanent changes in your life it is essential to let go of limiting beliefs. These include past experiences that caused strong feeling to arise in you. These can stay with us and can effect our lives in a negative way.
Using EFT is like peeling an onion, as you release one layer other feelings come up that also need to be let go of. The process is great at dealing with a variety of unwanted feelings that pop into your conscious mind.
Most of our 'issues' are buried deep in our subconscious minds, and when they show their ugly head, we tend to suppress and push them back down. By bringing them up and releasing them, you'll feel lighter, more positive, and find that blockages between you and your goals are gradually removed.
I highly recommend that you get out of your own way using EFT.
