Release Unwanted Feelings


Welcome to your Harmony newsletter, in this issue we will take a look at Emotional Issues and how you can release unwanted feelings.


As part of my research into health, I came across an amazing stress release technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).


I was shocked that this simple system could help with long-term trauma and health issues, so I intensely studied the method.


For many years, I have used it a lot, with excellent results! I have helped friends and family, and also included it as part of the health treatments that I offer in West Sussex UK. I also successfully used it, in my preparations for my father-of-the-bride speech at my daughter Natasha's wedding in 2015.


What is EFT?


It shows you how to release emotional baggage, let go of short or long term trauma. It is based on acupressure, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), energy medicine, and thought field therapy (TFT).


EFT has been referred to as Energy Psychology in Gary Craig's EFT Handbook, published in the late 1990s, and other related books/workshops by many EFT teachers.


Many successful healers, therapists, and motivational speakers use it and teach it to remove psychological barriers that can block your ability to believe that you can be free of underlying issues.


How Is EFT Performed?


During a session you would focus on a particular issue while tapping on key acupressure points on meridian energy channels.


You start by rating the emotional intensity of your stress between 0-10. Then you repeat an affirmation based on the issue while tapping specific pressure points on the body.


I have Successfully Used EFT many times to remove issues.


Research suggests that the fear of public speaking is even greater than the fear of death. Of course, it is understandable that we fear death to some degree or another. earing in mind that it is something we cannot avoid :)


Many people want to avoid Public speaking. The fears around it include... what will people think of me, embarrassment, tongue-tied, sweating, panic attacks, letting people down, forgetting what to say, blushing etc.


As I said, I used EFT to prepare for my father-of-the-bride speech at my daughter's wedding. It was important to me, so I decided to use EFT daily for several weeks leading up to my speech, to release my individual fears, and develop confidence in my ability to perform well.


When it came to my speech, I stood up, felt relaxed and very confident, and I delivered it as well as I had in my practise sessions. The audience were listening, laughing in all the right places, and it went well.


In fact, better than I could have hoped for :)


I also had lots of positive feedback, even from the event organisers who had witnessed dozens of speeches each year.

To make permanent changes it is essential to let go of limiting beliefs. These include past experiences that cause strong feelings that can stay with us and effect our lives in a negative way.

It is like peeling an onion - as you release a layer other feelings come up that also need to be released. The process is great at dealing with a variety of unwanted feelings that pop into your conscious mind.


Most of our 'issues' are buried deep in our subconscious minds, and when they come up, we tend to suppress and push them back down. By bringing them up and releasing them, you'll feel lighter, more positive, and find that blockages between you and your goals are gradually removed.


I highly recommend that YOU get out of your own way by using EFT.


What issues will I be working on next? Fear of the dentist, a shoulder injury, self esteem issues, old age... there's always plenty to work on :)
