Every year, more than 10 million children under the age of five die totally preventable deaths. Some are directly caused by illness such as pneumonia, diarrhoea and malaria. Others are caused by indirect causes including conflict and HIV/AIDS.
Malnutrition, poor hygiene and lack of access to safe water and adequate sanitation contribute to more than half of these deaths. Two thirds of both neonatal and young child deaths — over 6 million deaths every year — are preventable. Half a million women die in pregnancy each year, most during delivery or in the first few days thereafter. Innovation in saving lives Existing low-cost, low-technology and high impact interventions such as vaccines, antibiotics, micronutrient supplementation, insecticide-treated bednets, improved breastfeeding practices and adoption of safe hygiene practices can prevent unnecessary maternal and child deaths and reduce undernutrition. By packaging services and implementing at scale, high impact and evidence-based maternal, newborn and child survival interventions, we can save millions of lives. By ensuring that all children have access to basic education and by focusing on children marginalized by poverty, HIV/AIDS, conflict and discrimination, we can break the cycle of poverty that keeps children on the brink of survival. UNICEF in action Sixty years of experience tell us that we can turn back child mortality and meet the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. UNICEF’s Medium Term Strategic Plan for 2006-2009 identifies Young Child Survival and Development as the first right of the child. UNICEF works with governments, national and international agencies, and civil society to support effective and essential actions at each phase of the life cycle of the child, including in pregnancy, early childhood, preschool and school-going years, and in adolescence.

FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH
When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force energy to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same points and meridians, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses gentle but firm pressure.
Advantages of Using Acupressure include relieving pain, balancing the body, and maintaining good health. Acupressure's healing touch reduces tension, increases circulation, and enables the body to relax deeply.
The most potent form of energy work uses acupressure points. Energy (known as Chi, Qi, Ki, Prana) flows most freely when you touch, press, or hold the acupressure points in bodywork. These healing pressure points are the gateways to the body's life energy force, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
This universal energy source is also the basis of traditional Martial Arts self-defense techniques and traditional healing art practices. The flow of this vital healing energy governs blood circulation and the function and balance of the human body.
Many Pressure Point Massage Methods all use the same ancient trigger points. Varying rhythms, pressures, and techniques create different styles of acupressure. Shiatsu, for instance, the most well-known style of acupressure, can be quite vigorous, with firm pressure applied to each point for three to five seconds, while the Jin Shin style of acupressure gently holds at least two points at once for a minute or more.
SAFE, EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT
Applying G-Jo at the first sign of suffering helps to bring energy back into balance. Then symptoms disappear and suffering is relieved and energy balance is restored. This, in a nutshell, is the basis of the age-old healing art called "energy medicine."
The ancient masters of energy medicine observed that it is the body, and only the body, that heals itself. G-Jo is an important energy medicine technique that gives a boost to this natural self-healing process.
G-Jo acupressure is safe, natural, non-invasive, works in seconds and can relieve hundreds of ailments. No medicine, technique or other therapy works as quickly to bring that special smile of relief to your face.
A momentary touch of your finger, a few seconds of pressure, and relief happens. It's just that simple, fast and it works time and again for even children and the elderly. G-Jo is based on a little-known network of 175 pressure points (many of them used in the martial arts) each of which controls a specific part or function of the body. When the right acupressure point is "triggered" you set into motion a far-reaching "call to arms" in your body's natural healing system... and the results can be nothing short of astounding.
You can use G-Jo Acupressure for most, "typical" first-aid situations, plus hundreds of other health problems for which no standard first-aid methods exist. There is a G-Jo pressure point (and usually several) to erase pain and suffering in any part of the body. As soon as a health problem occurs, you simply reach for the right acupressure point, trigger it in the special G-Jo way and sigh in relief, it really is just that easy. In your car, at home, deep in the woods or miles out to sea, even hours away from medical help using just this simple technique. G-Jo truly is that powerful. G-Jo is most often used for everyday symptoms, the kind of ailments you might otherwise treat with aspirin, antacids or other such drugstore remedies. Indigestion, allergies, asthma, back pain (and pain in any other part of the body), there are more than 250 common health problems you can effectively treat using G-Jo Acupressure.
Aspirin, antacids and other such remedies can have harmful side-effects. But the relief you get is a signal you've given your body what it wants and needs. You don't "mask" a health problem as might happen with drug-store remedies... G-Jo works with your body, not against it. So you get TWO benefits when you apply G-Jo Acupressure: you ease suffering and you speed healing.
It's a good way to get well and to stay well. When you apply G-Jo at the first sign of discomfort, you can stop and actually "reverse" most ailments and health problems before they become serious. Many doctors, themselves, say that 50% - 75% of their patients visits are unnecessary, if only these sufferers had simple, useful means for helping themselves. G-Jo Acupressure fits the bill perfectly, it is faster, safer and less expensive than any drug or medicine in the world.
FOR YOU TO TRY ON YOURSELF OR OTHERS

This powerful acupressure point can help control pain, headaches, tired feet and many other common ailments. G-Jo Point #7 is the width of one hand above the crown on the inside of the ankle, just behind the shin bone, on the front of the leg. Using the thumb or forefinger firmly press rotating for 15-20 seconds. If the point is sore or aches then you have the right place. Do this on both sides of the body. THis powerful acupressure point can help with indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, eczema, nausea, travel sickness etc. G-Jo Point #9 is the width of one hand below the bottom of the kneecap and one thumb from the shin to the outside of the leg.
