Setting goals is one of the best ways to focus your mind on what you want to achieve in 2010 and beyond.

Why is it so important to set goals?

Well, high-performance people set goals, winners set goals, but losers never set goals. Successful people make plans on the direction they want to take in life. They make a blueprint, with detailed plans, and step-by-step goals that they have to achieve for success.

Most people just don't plan their path through life, relying instead on dealing with each event as it arrives. This is very ineffective, and the main reason why many old people look back on their lives with regret.

People rarely regret what they have done, but do regret what they feel they could or should have done. There are many factors involved in why we don't live the way we should have. But, the main reason is fear... fear of failure, fear of what others may think of us, etc. etc.

This type of fear can grip you and stop you from living the life you want to... I really don't want you to look back with regret.

Okay, what's the answer?

Make a decision on what you truly want out of life, then all you need to do is list the steps to get there and take massive action on each step. It's very important to completely focus your energy and attention to work on each step, one-by-one. This brings real power to your efforts.

So, now YOU have your life goals listed in order of importance... right?

Maybe you are not sure what you actually want from your life here on planet earth? Do you need help on making that decision once and for all?

Here's the best way that I have found to help you decide. Please remember that knowledge is power but... Action is the Key to success.

Ok, so how can you make a decision and really know what you want out of life? Here's a simple, but amazing exercise, that you can try. It will only take you 20 minutes or so, but you'll quickly learn what you truly want...


You have just won £20 million on the lottery, so go ahead and decide what you will spend it on... houses, cars, holidays, clothes, electronic toys, study courses etc. and, of course, some to charities... right?

Take a pen and paper and write it all down in detail, and really enjoy the process, and smile... after all you are rich :)

OK, you now have everything you need to be comfortable, so here's the main point of the exercise - What are YOU going to do for the rest of your life? What makes you happy? What gets you enthusiastic?

The answers will give you your life purpose!

Paradigms are a group of thoughts, feelings and actions, that become subconscious habits that are difficult to stop.

Each of your thoughts is like a seed that germinates, sprouts, grows, develops and bears fruit. The thoughts that are repetitive and fill your mind develop more and more power and your subconscious mind leads you to experience them in the physical world.

Optimistic and confident thoughts will create an environment that will attract more positive events to you.

Doubt and fear are among the most powerful blocks to your success. The process of the creation of an idea all the way through to its material form must include confidence and total belief on the outcome.

What YOU think about... YOU become!

Your emotions need to flow continuously as you experience them. If your heart is closed or blocked you will be unable to express yourself. The 5 basic emotions from which all others originate are... fear, anger, sadness, joy, and compassion.

As you experience an emotion you will either...

(a) Express it, which isn't good for relationships with other people.

(b) Repress it, by holding your emotions inside which often leads to anxiety and dis-ease. OR

(c) Release it, by understanding that, in reality, it just doesn't matter!

By releasing all emotion and feelings as they arise in you, you will completely free yourself of the stress that effects many people. It is widely recognised by health experts that stress causes about 75% of all illness and disease... mainly caused by poor lifestyle choices.


Paradigms are a group of habits that you carry out automatically. Even when you decide to change, it is difficult, because you have become comfortable with your problems. Change is scary because you'll have to face the fear of the unknown and challenge yourself.

To truly change, you must become a little uncomfortable and be willing to accept this, in order to break bad habits...

But you can do it, if YOU choose to!

Decide to change your habits, and face them head on by refusing to be controlled by them. Fill the gaps with good habits that you enjoy. Stick to it by saying to yourself... I can, I must, and I will.

Remember that 92% of worries are unnecessary... 40% never happen, 30% have already happened and cannot be changed, 12% are needless about health, 10% are petty miscellaneous, and only 8% are genuine.

Ask yourself the following questions...

1 - "What do I need to achieve in the next 12 months in order to make my future dreams, desires and life goals a reality?"

2 - "What do I need to do in the next month to begin this journey?"

3 - "What can I do by next week to prepare myself for the journey?"

4 - "What can I do right now, today, in order to start this process?"

Make a list of Your desired goals in order of importance. Imagine them complete and list the exact steps to get there.

Then start with your first goal and focus your mind on it. Take massive Action until you have completed it. Then, work on the next goal and do the same. Tick them off your list one-by-one.

Action is the Key to Your Success!

You can visualize and calmly hold the image of your goal, imagine and feel it coming true. Create your own mental cinema where you can focus on the detailed image and different aspects of your desire. Don't allow your mind to wander aimlessly, your thoughts must be clear and precise.

Breathe deeply, and relax. When you are calm and relaxed, it becomes easier to concentrate, focus, and achieve your goals. You can liberate your natural talents and go with the flow for unlimited energy.
