POWERFUL LIFE PRINCIPLES
In this article I am going to share with you some of the most important life principles that I have learnt in my 30+ years of study.
We'll be discussing how to approach your aikido, health and spiritual goals to achieve success.
First we will look at how to further develop your Aikido skills. Then we will have a look at how to boost your energy and health. Finally we'll turn the spotlight on spirituality.
Ok, regarding Aikido, and how you can speed up your technical abilities and reduce the chances of experiencing setbacks in your training.
Most Aikido classes are between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Of course, sometimes you'll be attending seminars and other extended courses that will be longer, but this is the normal length of a class.
After the opening ceremony, warm-up, stretching, stamina training, basic postures and solo drills, 50% of the class will be over. This is just to get you to the point of practising advanced techniques with a partner.
Can you see how every class takes 50-75% of the time to get you to the skill level you were at when the last class finished? No wonder becoming skilled at Aikido and other arts takes such a long time!
But... it doesn't have to be like that. Just because that is how it is done now, doesn't mean you have to learn that way.
Ok, so how could it be better? Easy...
Instead you practise for 3-4 hours at a time, which means you have time to work on advanced skills as well.
If you can't find an Instructor who will teach this way, then take private lessons or travel and train at seminars more often. Also many of the skills can be developed by practising at home on your own.
Result... you learn faster!

Now we'll turn our attention to how you can quickly fill your body with healing energy and experience a boost to your health.
There are many ways to achieve this, and I'll tell you about one of the most effective ways to do it. This method will give you... 'Maximum Effect with Minimum Effort'
Creating optimum health is all about the condition of the cells of your body. By bringing them into harmony and balance, you'll be able to boost your energy levels that will stimulate your cells and remove toxins.
The health of your cells are made up of three main factors. The first is oxygen, which you get from the air that you breathe. The second is nutrients, which you get from the food that you eat. the third is fluid which you get from the water you drink.
So, the right combination of all three will literally power up your energy reserves and put you on the fast road to glowing health.
Eat organic foods and supplements that are packed with nutrients. Drink a minimum of 6-8 glasses of water every day.
But, here I want to focus your thoughts on the oxygen that you put into your body cells. You see, most of us do not use our lungs correctly to get the best qualities from the air that we breathe.
Because of our modern 21st century lifestyles, humans beings tend to exercise less, and have far more stressful lives. When you are anxious and worried about things you will be creating tension in your muscles. This causes shallow breathing and reduces the ability to expand our lungs.
The result is that many people only use the top of their lungs when they are breathing. This stops oxygen and vital life force from reaching the bottom of their lungs, where the cells are revigorated.
How can you change this? Easy, you see, although breathing is a subconscious habit, you can consciously effect it.
Change the bad breathing habit by practising deep breathing every morning, evening, and at other times throughout your day. If you practise this every day for 30 days it will gradually become a new and better habit. You will soon be breathing deeply even when you sleep.
All it takes is for YOU to make the decision and practise it every day, after all, what will you be doing that is more important?

TAKE SPIRITUAL ACTION
Now we will turn your attention to the subject of spirituality. There are thousands of paths to expanded consciousness and self-realisation, and many of them will help you on the road to mastery.
Religions teach about this god and that god, offering you many different names, but it's really your individual choice on the belief system you want to follow. You may call it god, allah, Tao, universal energy, the ocean of love and mercy, the void, the field, etc.
There are a few simple principles that run through all systems that you should focus on. Why? Because principles hold the true power that flows through life itself. It's not what you know in your head, but what your spirit experiences through your body that is most important.
The answers to all of your questions are not outside of yourself. They are inside and you have access to them right now. Ask yourself...
"How can I choose the right spiritual path for me?"
What are you drawn to? If there were no restrictions on your life path, what would you choose to do? There your answers will be found!
The best way is to remove from your life the things that are negative and a waste of time. Replace these with your life goals. Then, all you need to do is to take action and move towards your goals. If not now... when?
