Aikido Success Blueprint


I ran the Arun Aikido Club in West Sussex UK from 1992-2007 and offered traditional Aikido Yoshinkan as taught to me by my instructors.

Although the club was a great success, I became increasingly concerned regarding the rate at which students were able to develop good skills.

In fact, during that 15 year span I studied and worked on numerous learning strategies with my students. Over the years I developed many useful tools to speed up their learning curve.

BUT, for me there was always something missing in the teaching process. Part of the reason was the need to teach so many complex Aikido techniques and all of the variations that just took too long for the students to learn. There were so many important principles that had to be ignored in order to pass on the technical information.

Also, after years of learning different techniques from a variety of attacks the students were still not adaptable in their movements. It became clear to me that the true essence of Aikido was not focused on enough.

Students were also aware that the learning process was rather slow and many were not prepared to train long and hard without good results. This always kept our student numbers quite low, and I eventually had to consider an alternative to the situation.

So how did I solve this?

Since I closed my club in 2007, I have been working on my own personal training, and studying several related skills. During this process, and as I had more and more insights, I decided to write about my ideas.

Eventually they all came together in 3 books that I have produced as online ebooks. I am also working on 2 more books that will be produced in the coming months.

In the last few months I have been working on re-starting the Arun Aikido Club and have finally brought it all together. I have changed my ideas on class structure and now offer less complex techniques and far more theory and principles. For full details check out... Arun Aikido Club


I have been studying a whole variety of paths to health and well-being since the early 80's. My ideas have changed many times over the years, but eventually I came to a solid understanding of the important principles involved in achieving real health.

After years of looking at each new idea or fad that came up regarding health, I realised that the true answers were not there. Unfortunately there are so many different governments, industry, organisations, and variety of groups that all give us conflicting information on the subject.

We are told this, then that, and it soon becomes obvious that 'they' just don't now the answers to the many questions. Instead we are manipulated and controlled by the need to earn money from the population.

You are responsible for your own health!

Well, I decided to look for the main health principles that ran through all healing systems. I analyzed the advice given from every area and made a ton of notes. Eventually after much contemplation, I gathered the very best ideas on the subject and decided to write them in book form.

After many years, I produced a book called Optimum Health Secrets that included many of my insights on the subject of health and well-being.
