Aikido Combat Strategies

Aikido Combat

Aikido combat, can it be used in a self defence scenario?

Of course!

By learning how to use Aikido in combat, it will improve your skills, and may make the difference between surviving or worse!

Depending on your skill, you can improve your performance with combat Aikido.

Of course, if you already have skills from the military, security, doorwork, or street fighting experience, then you have probably gathered plenty of knowledge about combat in Aikido situations.

If you're a beginner, experience in martial arts, or been trained by someone who has never had a fight, then this will be of real benefit.

Quite often, you'll find that martial arts instructors have no experience of real combat. Also their own instructor may not have had any experience of it either.

This is good in many ways. Obviously they know how to avoid trouble, and this is one of the main reasons for learning martial arts.

Sometimes these instructors teach their students street defence tactics, in a way that are unlikely to work in a real combat situation.

This may mean that there are thousands of students believing they have the tools to really protect themselves in a street attack, when they probably don't...

Are YOU sure of your skills?

By slightly adapting your knowledge, you can improve your chances of success. Its important to be realistic, and learn what really works in an all out attack.

I studied with Russell Stutely for several months and took part in intense daily training to become a qualified Pressure Point self Defence Instructor. I teach these skills at my Self Defence Seminars in Bognor Regis West Sussex UK
