Breathing to Release Pain

by Irving Epstein

I have just read your statements on basic breathing. I am ninety one years old and sense that some of your suggestions on breathing properly may displace some of my body pain pills that I take.

Hello Irving - yes breathing technique can have a profound effect regarding the reduction of pain. But, I certainly wouldn't recommend that you reduce or stop taking any prescribed medicine.

You should only consider changing your medication after discussing it thoroughly with your doctor.

Having said that, pain in the body, regardless of cause, can be reduced by releasing the feelings and emotion that is attached to it.

One way of doing this, is to focus on the pain, feel it, go right into it's core. Then take a few deep breaths and just let it go. As you breathe out release the pain and the feelings attached to it.

Repeat this a few times, and you may begin to notice that the pain reduces, and you cannot focus on it any more.

This method can be used on any unwanted thoughts and feelings. Focus, breathe deeply, and release as you breathe out and relax!

I hope this is of use to you Irving - it is covered in more detail in my Optimum Health Secrets ebook collection.

All the best

Tony

P.S. Considering your young age of 91, maybe I should be asking you about 'your health secrets'. If you have any tips for me and my readers Irving, we would love to hear them ;)
